XPLR: MEDIA at IBC: The Broadcasting Scene in Dialogue
Every year, the international broadcasting scene meets in Amsterdam: IBC is one of the world's largest trade fairs for the industry. XPLR: MEDIA in Bavaria was also there – with a networking event where Bavarian and international broadcasters could meet and connect.
Ending the first day of the trade fair on a relaxed note and raising the profile of the Bavarian broadcasting community – that was the idea behind the event organized by XPLR: MEDIA in Bavaria on Friday, September 12, as part of IBC2025. Around 90 guests from the broadcasting industry gathered at the Kitchen [&] Bar Van Rijn on Rembrandtplein, right in the heart of Amsterdam's old town. A colorful mix of international guests and a strong Bavarian delegation reviewed their first impressions of the conference together.
After-work drinks, conversations, and trends
During the walking dinner and drinks, lively conversations quickly ensued: old acquaintances met again and new contacts were made. The topics of the evening included the latest industry trends, events and program plans for this year's IBC, possible collaborations, and valuable contacts for the future.
Bavarian presence on site
Bavaria's status as a major player in the international broadcasting sector was also evident in the large number of companies attending the event. Among those present were Rohde [&] Schwarz, Radio.Cloud, Bayerische Medientechnik (BMT), Radiozeit, BR, Cinetica, Fraunhofer Institute, 3Q, and David Systems. For them and our international guests—including BBC, Xperi, and TVekstra—the get-together was a successful start to several intensive days at the trade fair.
IBC2025: Inspiration for the future of the industry
The networking evening blended seamlessly into the special atmosphere of IBC2025 – one of the world's largest broadcasting trade shows. With 14 exhibition halls full of cutting-edge technologies and global market leaders, IBC is not only a showcase for innovation, but also a place where the future of the media industry is shaped. From platform development and immersive storytelling to disruptive technologies such as AI, the conference brings together thought leaders from the international media and entertainment world. Bavaria is also well represented: over 40 exhibitors from Bavarian companies are showcasing their concepts and products, and many more are visiting the trade fair.
